In my homeland of Siberia I filmed the annual off-the-grid subsistence hunt trip by my parents.  In this film, I want to explore the deep spiritual connection the people of Siberia have with their land.  I experimented with new media in this project, filming it entirely on an iPhone.

As part of my personal focus on the subject of alternative spirituality and the power of self-healing, I spent two weeks in the Peruvian Amazon with a Shipibo ayahuasca healer Gaspar Rengifo.  In addition to capturing a series of photos and observations of the retreat, I recorded interviews with the shaman, his family and other participants of the retreat to further my understanding of how ayahuasca works.
